Back Glass Replacements

Most rear windows in automobiles are made of tempered safety glass.  When we replace your back glass, we vacuum the broken glass from inside your vehicle as a courtesy service.  back glasses can have options such as defrosters(heated), radio antennas, cell phone antennas, and Onstar antennas made into them for some vehicles.  We can get the exact replacement for you vehicle.  In addition we offer a complete line of sliding back glass replacements for pickups.

There are many options for this type of window.  Some will roll down similar to a door glass, others will be glued in and stationary, and some even just pop out a little at the bottom for circulation.  We can replace any of them for you just give us a call.

Door Glass Replacement

Door glasses are normally mechanically fastened to a regulator inside your door.  The regulator is what moves the door glass up and down either by a motor cranking it or by you manually cranking a handle on the inside of the door.  We will vacuum the broken glass out of the door when we replace your door glass; in addition to making sure it rolls up and down and aligns properly in the opening. 

Door Glass Repairs

Electric or manual crank windows not working we can fix them.  Below are a few of the most common symptoms and what it may take to fix them.  Of course this is for informational purposes only. 

Is your door glass leaning forward and jumping out of track when you try to roll it up? There are clips that fasten to your door glass to guide it straight up in the channels.  We stock most of these parts and can usually fix it for under $50.00 and usually even the same day.

Is it stuck and you don't hear anything when you try to roll it and it won't move?  There are two things that are most common with this symptom.  Either the window motor in that door has went out or the switch that rolls that window has went bad. Switches are normally wired in series so if there is more than one switch that operates the window they will all stop operating even if only one is bad.  We can check this for you at no charge and give you a estimate on what it will take to get it going again.

You hear the motor running but the glass does not move or only moves a little then it may start making a loud grinding noise?  That may be a sign that the gear has stripped out in the window motor and when it gets to the teeth that are broke it is slipping.  For some motors we can get a gear kit to minimize the cost as opposed to replacing the entire window motor.  If the motor has to be replaced we can get new as well as re manufactured on many of them.

Do you hear the window motor run then it may bind up and stop?  Most likely you have a cable regulator that moves your window and the cable has broken.  We can replace your regulator on these.

Sliding Backglasses for Pickups

We offer a complete line of aftermarket sliding back glasses for your pickups.  Our sliders come with the Dark Gray tint made in the glass and black frames.  The latches are either metal or self locking spring loaded when you close them.

Use this picture to help you see what your FACTORY tint option is.  The front windows are the standard LIGHT FACTORY TINT and the rear windows are considered PRIVACY TINT.  Please remember to take into consideration if your windows may have AFTERMARKET TINT added to them which would make them seem darker.
